Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a business approach that contributes to sustainable development by delivering economic, social and environmental benefits for all stakeholders. The concept of CSR has many definitions and practices.
A company lending to another company does not come under CSR policy. Such loans are called INTER CORPORATE DEPOSITS (ICDs). ICD is a deposit made by a company that has surplus funds to another company for a maximum of six months. It is a source of short-term financing.
